The company
We work with vessel owners and operators, offshore contractors, national and international oil companies, shipyards, charterers, underwriters and investors.
Fastnet is independent of vessel owners, contractors and equipment suppliers. We hold no agency, no commission arrangement and no supply interest. The advice is aligned solely to the client.
How we resource work
Fastnet holds project leadership, technical direction, quality and commercial governance in house, and mobilises verified specialists to each assignment. Capability is defined by what the company can mobilise and control, not by headcount, and Fastnet remains the single point of accountability whatever the size of the team deployed.
Every specialist is verified before appointment: qualifications, certification, medical and survival training where applicable, insurance, references and sanctions screening, recorded with the name of the verifier and the date.
Leadership
Tony O’Dwyer · Managing Director
Fastnet is led by Tony O’Dwyer, Managing Director. Master Mariner. Nautical Institute qualified Lead Auditor in the ISM Code, the ISPS Code and the Maritime Labour Convention, and Associate Fellow of The Nautical Institute.
More than 35 years offshore, beginning in the North Sea in 1991. Over two decades in command as Master and Offshore Installation Manager across pipelay, saturation diving, heavy lift, trenching and DP accommodation campaigns, followed by senior fleet and executive responsibility ashore.
That heritage is why Fastnet writes procedures that can be followed, sets operating limits that hold, and audits a management system against the way the work is actually done offshore.
Governance
Fastnet operates a documented integrated management system covering quality, health and safety, environment, information security and business conduct. Every deliverable is independently checked by a competent person other than its author before it is issued, and every controlled document carries a reference, a revision, an owner and an approver.
Our position on certification
The system is designed with reference to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Fastnet does not hold certification to any of them and does not claim it. Where a client requirement depends on certification, we say so at enquiry stage.
